  Annual Membership Dues - Reminder

 

Reminder for those FOW members that have not already paid 2012 Dues. If you are not sure about your membership status contact John Petraglia (johnpetr@optonline.net).  Directions for payment are on the lower left side of this page.

 

  Get Involved - FOW Volunteers Needed

Please contact Claire Goad (cagoad@verizon.net or 631-286-0910) to volunteer.  FOW needs volunteers for the following tasks:

  - Membership and Fundraising

 - Special Events Coordinator (Canoe Trips, Birding Walks, etc.)

 - Nature Store Accountant (once a year)

 - Nature Store Manager and Assistant Manager

 - Monthly receipt collection and reconciliation

 

  Refuge Volunteers Wanted

Please contact JodyDeMeyere (jody_DeMeyere@fws.gov  or (631) 286-0485 x2131) to volunteer.   See Flyer.

Nature Store Sales Clerk / Greeter - Monday to Friday; 4 hour shift one or two times a week

Special Event Work - Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year.  Staff a variety of education booths and for children's craft activities; lead canoe and birding tours; direct parking; other tasks as they arise.

Wertheim Refuge is Open

7 Days a Week

 

TheThe refuge is open on Sunday as well as the other six days each week. Visitors are welcome between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Please park near the (old) refuge office, pick up a trail map and enjoy all that the refuge has to offer. 

 

The White Oak Trail is wheel-chair accessible
