Refuge Assistance

 

As usual, there’s lots to be done at the Refuge and never enough funding to do it all. We’d like to help with some of the following projects:

•   Obtaining materials for fishing platforms

•   Obtaining gravel and timber for trail improvement

•   Assisting with refuge website construction

•   Hiring a seasonal maintenance worker and a public use specialist to provide  

    information and assistance to Refuge visitors

•   Installing a bubbler near the restrooms

Coordinate Clean-up Committee for Smith Rd.

   

We need you to:

• Call and/or e-mail those on the Clean-up Committee to remind them of the clean-up (which has been on the first Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m.),

• Call the town to get the clean-up signs put up designating FOW is keeping Smith Rd. clean,

• Get the bags from the town, and

• Notify the town after the clean-up that the bags are ready to be picked up.
